Hi, my name is Jasmine. I was born, raised, and spent most of my early 20s in Taiwan. In 2022, I moved to Vancouver, Canada, and I’ve been here ever since! I’m so happy to have the chance to connect with more people in this beautiful city.

I majored in metalwork and product design in university in Taiwan, and ever since graduating, I’ve been working in the jewellery industry. Currently, I work at a local jewellery repair shop in Vancouver. Outside of my full-time job, I also dedicate time to my own creative work. Yes! both my day job and my side hustle are all about jewellery! Haha ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.

That’s how my label 小島茉莉子 (pronounced “Xiao Dao Mo Li Zi”) island jeweller was born. “小島” translates to “small island” in english which represents where I come from - Taiwan, a small island, and “茉莉子” comes from my name, Jasmine. Since the full name is a bit difficult to translate directly into English, I simply go by island jeweller in english.

I love designing cute and charming pieces, often inspired by everyday life. Every piece is handcrafted by me with care and love. Thank you for your support, I hope you enjoy my jewelleryヽ(=^･ω･^=)丿!
